Today, on a run, my hat blew off as I ran across a bridge. I would typically never stop mid-run (because it's crazy hard to start back again!) but- my hat.
The moment I picked it up, a song that really inspires me and encapsulates the past decade of my life started playing on my phone. It literally stopped me in my tracks. It was divine intervention for everything to line up like that. I smiled, sat down, and took in the beautiful scenery that I typically never see as my eyes are focused on the pavement and finishing my run. It was beautiful.
I sat for just a couple of minutes and reflected back on my secrets (now revealed!), my personal struggle and everything I've overcome to be sitting right here in this moment. I was present. Grateful.
This year, I resolve to live with presence. To quote the prophetic Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't look around once in a while, you could miss it."
