Enough About You

Sending my girl into her classroom hit a little differently this morning.

But hey, back to you! Did you sleep ok? Hopefully, it’s comforting to know that you still have the right to go and buy an assault rifle if you should ever feel the urge. Hell, you’re an American! No one can take your right! ‘merica! Wooooo!

We get it.

But when will it be time to put aside what’s best for you in the name of saving the innocent children who will lose their lives next? Your right trumps that? You still want to hold onto it and allow this to be able to continue?

What if it was your kid? What if it’s your kid next? Do you still choose your “right” over your child’s life?

Did you get a call yesterday that your 8 year old was murdered?

Did you just walk your 6 year old into her elementary school with a pit in your stomach and not ever wanting to end your “Have a great day” hug?

It’s not just about 𝙮𝙤𝙪. What 𝙮𝙤𝙪 should get. What 𝙮𝙤𝙪 should have the right to do.

When will your right stop trumping an innocent child’s life?

The current laws are not working. Don’t stop talking about it.
